Multi Flex Porter Chair Size Chart The seat depth on this chair is adjustable by you between 16 and 21 inches. The chart below shows the rest of the measurements for the various dimensions of this chair. The independent backrest also means that they can meet the needs of semi-ambulant and non-ambulant users, addressing posture and positioning requirements by using the extensive range of additional accessories and features to modify the chair to meet the individual needs of the client. Multi Flex Porter Chair Key Features The Multi Flex is a robust porter chair with an adjustable ramped seat angle, with the flexibility to interchange different pressure management seat cushions and posture back styles to adapt to changing needs or multi users. Mechanisms The manual mechanism allows for an independent backrest recline. It is operated by the manual lever on the push handle. The back can be reclined into a range of positions to meet individual postural needs, the position locks when the lever is released. Back Cushions The Multi Flex comes with a interchangeable back cushions as standard with a variety of options to choose from. This chair is adaptable to different people, ensuring greater longevity of its usage. Reposition all cushions to suit individual seating preferences. Add or remove fibres fibre filled cushions to adjust firmness. Covers are removable for cleaning. See Back Cushion Section for details on the individual cushions. Multi Flex Porter Chair Pressure Management Seat Cushions The Multi Flex has a choice of four interchangeable seat cushions. You can purchase one or more cushions to support the different needs of individuals who may use this chair. All cushions and covers on the interchangeable Multi Flex seat cushions are removable for cleaning or replacement. With all seat cushions we recommend a fabric with four way stretch properties to aid reduction of shear and friction. See Seat Cushion Section for details of the individual cushions. Seat Angle Adjustment The tilting seat can help to reduce the risk of an individual falling from the chair due to severe involuntary movements as well as allowing for different levels of comfort and postural control. Seat Depth Adjustment There is a mechanism to adjust the seat depth so that the right seat depth is achieved. The seat depth should be long enough to support the upper part of the legs whilst allowing the back to rest comfortably on the backrest. If the seat is too long the user is likely to slouch in the chair to get their feet on the floor, which puts extra pressure on their lower spine, if too short it will cause additional pressure on the thighs risking potential skin breakdown. Sliding Footplate This enables the user to place their feet safely on the footplate whilst being portered. It retracts, allowing for uninterrupted access with a hoist. The cover is removable for cleaning purposes. Heavy-duty push handle For ease of movement they come with a heavy-duty push handle with rubber grips.
