With a Dual Tilt in Space motor, the Repose Lynton Healthcare Chair is suitable for people with changing and deteriorating neurological conditions and those who require assisted movement to reduce the problems of skin breakdown. It comes with a range of pressure management seat cushion options as well as it being possible to fit your own. The interchangeable armrests allow for the width to be adjusted, as well as having two adjustable seat depths. The Lynton chair has the option of altering the seat height, whilst also extending the leg rest, providing the correct support when reclined. The Repose Lynton Riser Recliner Healthcare Chair – Suitability The Lynton Healthcare Chair is for those that require pressure and postural management whilst wanting to be supported to stand independently. It is most suited to those with the following conditions or ailments:- Stroke Muscular sclerosis Frail elderly Lower limb oedema The Lynton Healthcare Chair can also be used as part of a 24-hour postural care programme and its features also ensure that a user can be repositioned to allow for optional occupational performance, thus allowing an individual to engage in activities they want to do. The Tilt in Space (TIS) mechanisms make this chair ideal for clients with changing and deteriorating neurological conditions and those who require assisted movement to reduce the problems of skin breakdown. They allow for multi positioning of the legs to reduce oedema and fluid retention, leading to increased comfort. They can also be useful to those with low blood pressure to alter their position to reduce the impact of changes in pressure e.g. postural hypertension. The Lynton Healthcare chair can be used with either a mobile or overhead hoist to support safe moving and handling techniques for carers. Lynton Chair Size Chart The chart below details the important internal dimensions of the Repose Lynton Healthcare Chair as well as the lift capacities for each size chair. Please note the 2 different seat depth options. These are obtained by connecting the back rest to one of 2 brackets on the base of the chair. Repose Lynton Healthcare Chair Key Features The Lynton healthcare chair comes with a range of key features to aid pressure management, postural control, and comfort. The key features listed below are standard, you can purchase additional features and these are detailed in the Optional Accessories Section. Mechanisms The Lynton is available with either a Single or Dual Tilt in Space mechanism. The Tilt in Space movement means the seat to back angle remains the same whilst the whole seating system is tilted backwards, preventing shearing and friction. There’s lots of positional variation with the dual tilt in space motor as it benefits from independent backrest recline and independent leg rest movement. This allows for a greater range of positions to aid pressure management, postural control and comfort. Variable Angle Lift Technology is available on the medium and large sized chairs. Variable Angle Lift Technology allows the rise angle to be set to support individuals to a standing position. There are three angles to choose from as illustrated in the diagram below. 10º, 20º or 30º. The higher the angle the lower the front of the chair becomes, providing more support when moving from a sitting to a standing position. A simple pin system allows you to set and change the angle required. Repose Lynton Healthcare Chair – Pressure Management Back Cushions For complete flexibility there is a choice of interchangeable and adjustable pressure management back cushions. This ensures greater longevity of its usage and makes for a cost effective solutuon. Reposition all back cushions to suit individual seating preferences. Add or remove fibres from fibre filled cushions to adjust the preferred comfort. Covers are removable for cleaning or replacement. See the Back Cushion Section for details on the individual cushions. Pressure Management Seat Cushions The Repose Lynton Healthcare Chair has a choice of four interchangeable seat cushions each with different pressure management features. Purchase one or more cushions to support the different needs of individuals who may use this chair. Cushions and covers are removable for cleaning or replacement. Should you prefer your own opressure management cushion, The Lynton healthcare chair has an insert feature to allow for this. See Seat Cushion Section for details of the individual cushions. Chaise Cover This chair benefits from a single, full chaise cover. This chaise reduces the risk of pressure areas developing due to pinch points and shear and friction when the chair reclines. Complete with a memory foam insert, the chaise offers deep comfort. The chaise cover and memory foam is removable for cleaning and replacement. Seat Depth Adjustment The Lynton has a unique seat depth adjustment allowing you to increase or reduce the seat depth by 2” using the bracket system on the backrest frame. If shallower seat depths are required, seat depth adjuster pads are available in 1 and 2 inch thicknesses. See Accessories for more information. Seat Width Adjustment The Lynton has removable arm tops which allows you to change the seat width by reversing the arms from left to right. Loosen the thumb screw, remove the arm top and swap them over. Repose Lynton Healthcare Chair – Seat Height Adjustment The Lynton has the facility to increase the chairs seat height by using the height adjustment kits. These kits provide three different heigh options. Small, Medium ( 1 inch) and High ( 2”). When the seat height increases the footrest also lowers to account for leg length, thus ensuring optimum support for all. Handset Storage Loop The Lynton has a handset storage loop placed on both side of the arm, allowing the handset to change sides, depending on a person’s preference. The chair also has a loop to the rear of the chair for carer control. This stops a person using the handset should they be unable to safely use the chair unattended. Heavy Duty Lockable Castors As standard, the Lynton comes with four heavy duty lockable castors. These all swivel and have brakes on all four castors. Special Maintenance Service and maintenance is effortless. The easy to remove arms, arm tops and wings allow you to order replacement parts should any accidental damage occur. Replace parts on site and avoid any unnecessary out of service periods. Repose Lynton Healthcare Chair Delivery & Installation The uniqueness of the Lynton Healthcare Chair lies in its ability to be completely dismantled. Any one piece weighs no more than 25kg, allowing for a one-man delivery process. Very useful should you need to move this chair between sites. When your order is ready to be delivered, we will contact you to arrange a suitable date.
