There are 3 sizes to choose from on the website, Small, Medium and Large. Choose your seat width and seat depth between the ranges below or contact us for a bespoke quote. This chair is at home in any environment. It is an all-purpose healthcare chair that supports good pressure and posture management and is ideal for: 1. Frail elderly 2. Osteoarthritis 3. Rheumatoid arthritis The Tilt in Space (TIS) and Dual Motor mechanisms make this chair ideal for clients with changing and deteriorating neurological conditions. It allows for multi positioning of the legs to reduce oedema and fluid retention, leading to increased comfort. The positional options can support people who have problems swallowing as well as those with blood pressure e.g. postural hypo-tension. This chair can be used as part of a 24-hour postural care programme to reduce the risk of skin breakdown. The person can be re-positioned for optional occupational performance, thus allowing an individual to engage in activities they enjoy. Choose the dimensions of the: Seat Width Seat Height Seat Depth Back Height Arm Rest Height Repose C-air Riser Recliner Mechanisms The C-air is available with a Dual Tilt in Space (DTIS) or Single Tilt in Space (STIS) mechanism or a Standard Dual Motor Mechanism. On the DTIS and STIS mechanisms the Tilt in Space movement allows the seat back angle to remain the same whilst the whole seating system is tilted backwards which prevents shearing and friction. The Dual Tilt in Space mechanism has more positional movement options than the STIS one as it also has independent backrest recline and independent leg rest movement. This enables a greater range of positions to aid pressure management, postural control and comfort. Finally, the Standard Dual mechanism has no Tilt in Space feature, but it does have independent backrest recline and independent leg rest movement to provide a range of postural positions. There is also the option of VAL Technology on both the Single and Dual Tilt in Space mechanisms but only on the 159kg (25 stone mechanism). This optional mechanism is fitted under the chair and allows the rise angle to be set to support individuals to a standing position. Choose from three positions 10º, 20º or 30º. Pressure Management Back Cushions The C-air comes with a fixed waterfall back as standard. However, there is a choice of a removable back cushion. Choose from seven interchangeable pressure management back cushions that enable the chair to be adapted to a single user’s changing needs or to adapt the chair to another user. This ensures greater longevity of its usage. In addition, all removable cushions reposition to suit individual seating preferences. Add or remove fibres from the cushions to adjust the firmness. Covers are removable for cleaning and replacement. See the Back Cushion Section for details of individual cushions. Pressure Management Seat Cushions The C-air comes with a choice of nine interchangeable seat cushions each with different pressure management features. An Easiform seat cushion comes as standard. Choose this in the Seat Options tab or upgrade to a more enhanced level of pressure care. Cushions and covers are removable for cleaning or replacement. With all these seat cushions we recommend a fabric with four way stretch properties to aid reduction of shear and friction. See Seat Cushion Section for details of the individual cushions. Chaise Cover The C-air benefits from a single, full seat cover. This chaise reduces the risk of pressure areas developing due to pinch points and shear and friction when the chair reclines. Designed with a memory foam insert the chaise offers deep comfort. The chaise cover and memory foam are removable for cleaning and replacement. Castors The C-air comes with durable castors built in as standard. There is an option to upgrade to either heavy duty lockable castors or glides. Loop for Handset and Side Pocket Both these come as standard on the Repose C-air Riser Recliner and are fitted to the left hand side of the chair.
