Description The Prism Dual Access Sling is a multi-purpose sling compatible with either a patient lifting hoist or a stand aid. Suitable for toileting, this sling provides excellent access, enabling the removal of lower garments with ease. This sling is also available with side retention straps for those who require extra support or do not have the muscle tone to be able to use the standard Prism Dual Access Sling. Cut away sections reduce pressure under the arms whilst well-padded leg sections provide extra comfort during transfers. Unrivalled support is achieved via the inclusion of a chest strap which is adjustable both before and during the lift. The chest strap features both a VELCRO® Brand fastener and buckle fastening for added security. The Dual Access Sling with Side Retention Straps is available in Polyester material only. Prism Dual Access Sling Dimensions The Prism Dual Access Sling is available is 6 different sizes from Child up to Extra Large. See the diagram and table below for dimensions. Please note, all dimensions have a tolerance of /- 20 mm. Size to Weight Guide Prism Slings include colour coded bindings around the edge of the sling to help identify the sling size. Sling sizes are in accordance with the maximum weight capacity as indicated in the table below. The sling sizing is for guidance only – an assessment should be conducted by a competent person in order to determine the correct size of sling for the individual. Materials The Dual Access Sling with side retention straps is only available in polyester. It’s a multi-purpose sling for toileting purposes and provides exceptional comfort and support during transfer. Binding has been left in place on the leg sections in order to minimise stretch which would be unnecessary during the use of this sling. Sling Inspection All Prism slings are manufactured to meet and exceed the requirements of BS EN 10535:2006 ’Hoists for the transfer of disabled persons – Requirements and test methods’. See the user manual for more details. Slings should be inspected prior to use and after washing. Damaged or badly worn slings should be discarded. The label on the sling contains vital information to identify the sling – if any part of the label becomes illegible, then it must be removed from service and replaced. The sling should be visually inspected with regard to the following items:- Any signs of damage (i.e. Cuts, frays, tears, burns) to the sling straps Any signs of stitching becoming undone on any part of the sling Any signs of the fabric being stretched, tearing or undue wear Any signs of discolouring or bleaching on the material Is the sling complete? i.e. All straps present, stiffeners in place – where applicable etc Label clearly legible Prism Dual Access Sling – Delivery All slings are made to order in the UK.
