Please note the weight capacity for all sizes of beds is 25 stone except duals. For dual sized beds, the weight capacity is 25 stone per side.    Express Delivery Express Delivery is available for the 3ft width in Bison Steel fabric with any side panels and a Reflexion Memory Medium firm mattress. 10-14 days for delivery. Adding accessories or choosing a different size/fabric will mean the slightly longer lead time of 2-3 weeks.   Mattress Options There are 3 mattress options for the Sherwood Adjustable Bed; Reflex Foam, Reflexion Memory Foam and Latex. The foam is available in various densities for different user weights and ensures a comfortable and relaxing sleep.   Soft – Under 12 Stone Medium – 13 – 17 Stone Firm – Over 18 Stone   Coolmax® quilted zip off purpose made mattress cover with 5 year warranty. Protects your bedding, whilst keeping you cool. The Coolmax® layer draws away heat from the body. Its filled with polyester to absorb excess moisture meaning you can rest easy. Reflex – high-density responsive foam Reflex foam is a technical polyurethane foam, of medium-firm high density. It provides a vital supportive firmness at the mattress base, relevant to your weight, and is often used for orthopaedic mattresses. It is used by leading brands and shares the same ‘spring back into shape’ characteristic of memory foam (hence ‘reflex’). Often found in orthopaedic mattresses, reflex foam can offer a firmer feel and provide good spinal alignment. Reflex foam is very flexible and regains its original shape very quickly, hence the name ‘reflex’. This type of foam is very versatile and can take various formations within a mattress.   Reflexion Memory Foam Mattress The 8” Reflexion Memory Foam Mattress combines both Reflex Foam and Memory Foam, providing pressure relief and enabling the correct posture to be maintained during sleep. Finished in a superior quality COOLMAX® two way stretch fabric, the memory foam mattress cradles the body for the ultimate in comfort and relaxation.   Vasco 60 – The ultimate support and protection system Vasco continues to be the UK’s leading and established memory foam brand. It is a lower density foam designed for anything from mattress toppers to durable medical mattresses. The pressure map below shows a human body lying on a Vasco mattress. The cooler the colour, the more favourable the pressure to the human body. Far less pressure is exerted on concentrated areas of the body, whilst any pressure that is present is spread far more evenly across the surface and over the sleeper’s body. The airflow through the foam is far superior and promotes a cooler night’s sleep. Often described as a “memory” foam, Vasco is slower to recover from compression than traditional polyurethane foam products. Since it is energy absorbing and temperature sensitive it readily responds to heat, moulding itself perfectly around the source of compression.
