Description Rainman Watermaker Fully Automated Control Panels: The latest Rainman innovation introduces full automation for our Modular and Framed families of watermakers. It allows operation of the system by a wired remote micropanel and a bluetooth connected phone app. Be comfortable that the automated system will safely control the pressure, manage how much water is made, and operate in fresh, brackish, or seawater. Simple Operation The automated control panel has two small micropanels for system control. One is located within the main panel near the watermaker and another is for a wired remote operation. It contains START and STOP buttons, along with LED indicators for RUN, WATER, and FLUSH. The timer can be set by holding the START button for a few seconds. Or have it connected to your tank’s float switch to automatically shut the system down when full. Phone App Use of the Rainman phone app provides full monitoring and control of your Rainman watermaker. In addition to startup and shutdown of the system, the run timer can be set in terms of time or litres/gallons made. Full operational parameters can be monitored in real time: – Low pressure to know when prefilter needs changing – High pressure to ensure pump is operating satisfactorily – Product water flow rate to monitor output – Brine water flow rate to ensure total pump throughput is correct – Product water salinity and temperature – Diverter valve status to ensure water is flowing to the tank All fault conditions are presented with helpful tips to ensure your system is operating correctly. The apps are available on your app store and has basic demo mode to gain insight on capabilities. Backward Compatible No Customers are left behind. Any AC powered Rainman watermaker that has been installed can be upgraded to incorporate the fully automated control panel. This includes systems currently operating with the manual control panel or even portable systems that have been plumbed in. Upgrading from a current manual control panel with autoflush is a matter of swapping out the old panel for the new panel. Cutout is the same, but the system is about 25mm (1″) deeper in the back. The auto panel comes with a 30mm extender to mount the panel proud of the wall if required. The extender also fits with the current enclosure box. The autoflush motor valve will be replaced by a solenoid valve. Full Manual Override In the unlikely scenario of an electronics or sensor failure, simply turn the switch on the main panel to “Manual Override”. The system can then be controlled by the manual pressure control valve, using the analogue pressure gauges and flow metres to operate your Rainman watermaker. Installation We invested significant design effort into making the installation as simple as possible. Installing the core watermaker is not very different to the manual control panel. The modular system allows more effective use of available space, while the framed option has simpler plumbing. System Architecture The logic architecture of the system helps demonstrate the comprehensive nature of the automation. Three Installation Options Flush Mount Cut a space out on a surface for a flush mounted control panel. All plumbing and wiring will be behind the panel, making for a very neat installation. Alternatively, the framed system options have the panel flush mounted into the system already. Standalone Enclosure Box If you do not have available space for a cutout, the panel comes with an enclosure box that can be easily screwed or glued on the bottom, either side, or rear. This provides maximum flexibility on the installation location. External Hatch If you wish to mount your control panel externally, we offer an optional hatch adapted for your control panel to be flush mounted. Key Features Small wired micropanel for remote control Bluetooth connection to phone app for system control and monitoring Set timer or desired water volume to be made Two pressure sensors, two flow metres, and salinity probe to allow for full digital system control Continually manages pressure for operation in fresh, brackish, or seawater Integrated salinity sensor and autoflush function Panel dimensions: 280 x 280mm (11 x 11″), cutout size 250 x 250mm (9.9 x 9.9″) Enclosure dimensions: 280 x 280 x 171mm (11 x 11 x 6.8″) Full tank float switch capable External digital switching compatible (eg.
